Accessibility

AXITUR is committed to being usable by everyone. The goal is to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2, level AA) and the Brazilian standard ABNT NBR 17225:2025, as required by the Brazilian Inclusion Act (Law 13.146/2015, art. 63).

What the site already does

  • Pages work with a keyboard and a screen reader, with zoom up to 200% and on small phone screens.
  • Everything shown on the map is also shown in a list, and the map does not trap keyboard focus.
  • Every passage in another language is marked, so the screen reader uses the right pronunciation.
  • Every change to the site goes through automated accessibility tests. Before the public launch, the platform will be evaluated by people with disabilities.

Accessibility of places

Physical accessibility information about places is declared by whoever registers them, and each page shows who declared it and when. AXITUR shows what was declared and does not certify compliance with standards.
